Basic Information

FAQ about our kittens:

At what age kittens could be reserved?

Kittens (new litters) are usually announced in a couple of days after the birth delivery, however we usually do not open reservation before 1 month age. You can see the announcements of the litter with relevant status at our page: LITTERS REGISTER HERE

At what age kitten can be delivered?

Reserved or sold kittens can be delivered only starting from 16 weeks (4 months age) with full vaccination set completed according to the age schedule (see below).

How can I reserve a kitten(s)?

A process of reservation is rather simple. First and the key step: you select one or more kittens. As soon as you made your decision we sign the contract, you pay the reservation fee in amount of usually about 30% of the kitten’s price. When the kitten is reserved it will not be suggested to any other clients for sale, then we move to the next step which is usually delivery logistics arrangements.

Do you provide any guarantees of kitten’s health?

Health related issues: we guarantee the kitten’s health as of the moment of sale and departure from our cattery. The client can ask for additional genetic or blood testing at this stage to be paid separately. It is usually required by clients for kittens sold in breeding.

What documents does kitten have?

Every kitten has a full package of documents: veterinary passport with vaccinations, pedigree and/or ownership transfer/certificate. In addition to the above-mentioned breeding related documents issued by our feline club the kitten has its international veterinary passport with all relevant medical records (vaccinations, deworming, health check etc).

What vaccinations does the kitten have?

Kittens from our cattery move to new homes only after full vaccinating (last rabies vaccination according to schedule is made at the age of 3 months). The full set of vaccination according to the age includes the following scheme.

What kind of vaccinations do you use and what is a schedule?

2 months age. 1st multi-complex vaccine such as Nobivac Tricat Trio: Injectable live vaccine for cats containing attenuated feline panleucopaenia virus (MW-1), feline herpesvirus and feline calicivirus. A live attenuated freeze dried vaccine containing feline herpes virus type 1 (rhinotracheitis), feline calicivirus and feline panleucopaenia virus (MW-1). Sometimes we can use Felocell or Purevax depending on the availability in our region.

+21-24 days after the first vaccination – revaccination by the same vaccine to reach the strong effect.

3 months age. First rabies vaccination is made at he age of 3 months as a must. It is important to be made in time because a 30 days quarantine period is required after this vaccination to leave the cattery/to begin the travel arrangements. As a standard we use Nobivac Rabies vaccine which is an inactivated vaccine containing ≥ 0.95 AIU* equivalent to ≥ 2 IU** rabies virus strain Pasteur RIV per 1ml dose. Or, again depending on the availability, we can use Purevax Rabies or Defensor Rabies.

When is the next vaccination should be done?

1 year old age of the cat. The next vaccination is required at the first anniversary of the cat, 1-year age. Should include both revaccination of multi-vaccines as well as rabies. and this cycle should be continued on the annual basic or according to the veterinarian standards and practices in your country.

Do I need/have to make more than 3 vaccinations during the first year?

In some countries there is a requirement to make a second re-vaccination by multi-vaccine at the age of 6 months. In our country it is optional, not required by approved vet standards. Sometimes we practice additional re-vaccination at the age of 6 months depending on the situation.

Why there are two prices for the same kitten?

Kitten’s price depends on its status. Kittens could be sold in two main statuses/quality as a home pet and kitten with breeding and/or show potential.

What does PET’s status mean?

Kitten sold as PET could be neutered after reservation. If for any reasons kitten, sold as pet, was not neutered before the departure (for example due to the time pressure in terms of delivery or kitten’s condition or clients’ preferences for late-spaying) than we provide the documents with relevant status – note: NOT FOR BREEDING and the club documents will be provided later on after the client provides the evidence that the kittens was neutered.

▶️ Price for kitten with status as PET 🐈 . It means the kitten already is or will be neutered upon agreement with client and paid reservation. Our kitten could be sold not neutered (due to the young age or other factors) but without breeding right. In this case the pedigree of the kitten will have a special category: “NOT for breeding”.

What does FOR BREEDING status mean?

If the kitten is sold for breeding we provide full set of club documents: pedigree in English according to the international standards and kittens’ ownership transfer certificate with the name of the new owner (client). The ordinary option include 4 lines pedigree, however, in some feline systems/clubs only 5 lines pedigrees are excepted, and it is possible to provide this version of pedigree by client’s request.

▶️ Price for kitten with status BREEDING 🌟. It means that the kitten is not neutered and could be used for further breeding purposes as well as participate in cat shows. The pedigree will be provided as normal breeding status.

What about delivery arrangements?

We provide assistance in order to arrange the delivery of our kittens to many countries all over the world (where the delivery is possible).

Do you provide any other support after purchase?

We provide advice and ongoing support on care and health related issues of the kitten to extend possible!

At our cattery we use professional dry and wet food for cats and kittens of premium and super-premium class. There are several basic principals and approaches we use while growing the kittens, which are based on the general veterinarian and international feline clubs’ recommendations as well as our own experience (about 10 years as of now).

Our females!

1. Dry food should be available all the time during the day when the kitten intensively grows (up to 8-10 months age).

2. At the same time you should not provide too much dry food at once. The detailed information about the required daily food portion according to the kitten’s age is usually provided by the food producer (you can find it directly on the pack or get advice from your vet).

Example from the Royal Canin pack

Examples from Purina ProPlan producer

3. You should ensure that dry food is fresh enough (do not leave the same portion of food for more than 1-2 days) and is served in clean dishes.

4. Clean water should be available for the kitten together with dry food all the time.

👌 * Tips: Do not worry too much if you do not see when and how kitten drinks water, just ensure that clean and fresh water is provided on a daily basis. There are a lot of options how to make it attractive for kittens, for example, using this kind of special drinking waterfalls …😉

5. Normally, we use Royal Canin Kittens Second Age or Royal Canin Kittens British Shorthair dry food starting from 3,5-4 months age and the kitten from our cattery is used to eat it.

6. In addition, once or twice a day in the morning and/or in the evening you can give wet food in cans or pouches (about 1/2 of one pouch at age of 4-5 at once), since 6-7 months age the portion could be larger (about 1 full pouch of 1/2 of the big can).

👌* Tips: You should be oriented to the kitten’s appetite and condition, the food also does not have to be left after and kept for a longer time.

7. Alternative option for dry & wet food for kittens now is Purina Pro Plan In some cases as an alternative when we see the kitten does not like the first option or it does not fit to the kitten for some reasons.

Be oriented to the kittens’ age while choosing the food.

8. We recommend you to keep this food regime at least for about 2-4 weeks upon kitten’s arrival, after this period of time you can change it according to your preferences or your vet’s recommendations.

9. Special food for kittens is recommended until achieving of 12 months age. If the kitten is sterilised/neutered you can also use special food for sterilised kittens.

1. Litter Box (Toilet): should be a regular plastic one, can be open or closed (as a “mini-house”) with regular filler inside. There are plenty of options both for cats and kittens, just pay attention that it should be suitable by size as well and maybe ‘upgraded’ while kitten grows up.

2. With regard to the filler for litter box – our choice is to use the regular wooden one. You can find a lot of information about about the litter box filler options and it is up to you what to choose for your kitten/cat for the future, however we recommend wooden filler at least for the period of adaptation of the kitten to the new house and environment (2-4 weeks upon arrival).

Wood cat litter vs clay cat litter: What’s the difference?

Wood cat litter is made from wood pellets while clay cat litter is mostly made from bentonite clay that is broken down into particles.

When exposed to cat pee, the bentonite clay particles in clay cat litter absorb the moisture and stick together into clumps. Then you conveniently scoop out the clumps.

Wood cat litter is usually made from pine wood. Wood pellets are a very eco-friendly choice. They’re bio-degradable and a natural product usually made from recycled wood. Pine has a natural scent, so there’s no need for chemical fragrances to cover up odors. It’s compostable and lasts longer than typical clay cat litter, so you don’t have to change it as often.

3. Litter box should be placed at least 2 metres away from the food at the beginning, especially if you place kitten in a separate premise (room) for the first time upon arrival. Ideally, litter box (toilet area) and food dishes (food area) should be in the different corners.

4 Later on, when the kitten has oriented itself in the new surrounding, you can move it to a permanent place which you think is more appropriate at your home/flat/house, for example at your toilet or bath room. Move it slowly, a couple of metres a day when you see that kitten has used to it well.

1. Toys and place for sleep: any toys you like or you think the kitten may like and a separate place for sleep is recommended, ideally as a “house” comfortable for ‘hiding’ and sleeping or having rest.

2. Nail scratcher is very needed, could be any form or shape, could be combined with place for sleeping, but should be comfortable for kitten to play and scratch the nails.

3. Three basic vaccinations are all made according to the age schedule, the next one is required at the age of 1 year only or according to your vet recommendations.

4. If you have other animals at your home, please keep about 7-10 days quarantine just to ensure the kitten is ok after the travel.

5. Deworming is required once a three months and the frequency depends on whether the kitten is allowed for the outdoor activities.

6. All vaccinations records are in the passport together with microchip number.
